🍯 Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs

Ingredients

2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

1 tbsp ketchup (for richness and color)

1 tbsp sesame oil (optional but great)

1 tsp ginger, grated (optional)

1/2 tsp black pepper

Sesame seeds + green onions for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ribs
  2. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  3. Pat the ribs dry and remove the thin membrane from the back if still attached.
  4. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  5. Place ribs on a baking tray lined with foil.
  6. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2.5–3 hours until tender.

  1. Make the Sticky Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine:

Honey

Soy sauce

Minced garlic

Brown sugar

Vinegar

Ketchup

Sesame oil

Ginger (optional)

Stir and simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.


  1. Glaze the Ribs
  2. Remove ribs from the oven once tender.
  3. Brush generously with the honey garlic sauce.
  4. Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) or switch to broil.
  5. Return ribs to the oven for 10–12 minutes, brushing with more sauce halfway through, until sticky and caramelized.

  1. Serve

Brush with extra sauce.

Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or salad.
