🍯 Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs
Ingredients
2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tbsp ketchup (adds richness & color)
1 tbsp sesame oil (optional)
1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
1/2 tsp black pepper
Sesame seeds + green onions for serving (optional)
🔥 Instructions
- Prepare the ribs
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs if still attached.
- Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
- Place the ribs on a foil-lined tray and cover tightly with foil.
- Bake for 2.5–3 hours until tender.
- Make the Sticky Honey Garlic Sauce
In a small pot, combine:
Honey
Soy sauce
Minced garlic
Brown sugar
Vinegar
Ketchup
Sesame oil
Ginger
Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Glaze & caramelize
- Remove ribs from the oven and discard the foil.
- Brush a generous layer of the honey garlic sauce over the ribs.
- Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) or set to broil.
- Return ribs to the oven for 10–12 minutes, brushing again halfway through, until sticky, glossy, and caramelized.
- Serve
Brush with extra sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
Serve hot with rice, potatoes, or a fresh salad.
