🍍🔥 Sticky Pineapple Glazed Wings

Juicy chicken wings coated in a tropical pineapple glaze that’s sticky, sweet, savory, and irresistible!


🧾 Ingredients

Main Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings, split, tips removed

1 cup pineapple juice

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Optional (Highly Recommended!)

1/4 teaspoon chili flakes or hot sauce (for heat)

1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (to thicken glaze)

Sesame seeds

Sliced green onions


🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Wings

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the wings dry with paper towels.
    Dry wings = crispier skin!
  3. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Arrange wings on a baking rack placed over a sheet pan (or directly on parchment paper).

2️⃣ Bake the Wings

Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Air fryer option: 400°F for 20–25 minutes, shaking halfway.


3️⃣ Make the Pineapple Glaze

  1. In a saucepan, combine:

Pineapple juice

Brown sugar

Soy sauce

Ketchup

Apple cider vinegar

Garlic

Ginger

  1. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  2. Cook 10–12 minutes, stirring often, until the glaze reduces.
  3. For extra stickiness, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water, then add to the sauce and cook 1–2 minutes until thick.

4️⃣ Coat the Wings

  1. Once wings are done, place them in a large bowl.
  2. Pour the sticky pineapple glaze over the wings.
  3. Toss until every wing is fully coated.
  4. Optional: return coated wings to the oven for 5 minutes for extra caramelization.

5️⃣ Garnish & Serve

Top with:

Sesame seeds

Green onions

Extra chili flakes
