🌮 Taco Lasagna – Full Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

1 oz taco seasoning

1/4 cup water

1 cup salsa

3 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

6–8 small tortillas (the text "shreddortillas" in the image is a typo — it means tortillas)


Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add the diced onion and cook until soft.
  5. Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water.
  6. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  7. Remove from heat.

  1. Assemble the Lasagna

Use an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish.

  1. Spread a thin layer of the beef mixture on the bottom.
  2. Add a layer of tortillas (you can cut them to fit).
  3. Spread more beef mixture on top.
  4. Add a few spoonfuls of salsa.
  5. Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheese.

➡️ Repeat the layers: tortillas → beef → salsa → cheese
⬅️ End with a top layer of cheese.


  1. Bake

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.


  1. Serve

Let the taco lasagna rest for 8–10 minutes before cutting.

Serve with sour cream, extra salsa, or jalapeños if you like.
