Soft, chewy, colorful cookies coated in powdered sugar with a beautiful crinkled look β€” and the best part? They're made with cake mix!

πŸŽ„ Ingredients (Makes 24 cookies)

1 box white cake mix (15.25 oz / 432 g)

2 large eggs

β…“ cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional but recommended)

Red gel food coloring

Green gel food coloring

1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Instructions

  1. Make the Cookie Dough
  2. In a mixing bowl, add:

cake mix

eggs

vegetable oil

vanilla extract

  1. Mix with a spoon or hand mixer until a thick dough forms.

  1. Divide and Color
  2. Divide the dough into two equal bowls.
  3. Add red gel coloring to one bowl, and green gel coloring to the other.
  4. Mix each dough until the color is evenly combined.

Tip: Use gel coloring so the dough doesn’t become too soft.

  1. Chill (Important!)

Place both doughs in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes.
This makes them easier to roll and gives better crinkles.

  1. Shape the Cookies
  2. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  3. Scoop 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball.
  4. Roll each dough ball generously in powdered sugar.

The more powdered sugar, the better the crackle effect!

  1. Bake
  2. Place the cookie balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 9–11 minutes.
  4. Cookies should be slightly soft in the center β€” they firm up as they cool.

  1. Cool and Serve

Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.

Enjoy the soft, chewy, festive goodness! πŸŽ…πŸ’šβ€οΈ
