Ground Beef and Gravy Over Mashed Potatoes

1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter or oil
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth (warm)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional but amazing)
Β½ tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: sliced mushrooms or peas

2 lbs (900 g) potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 tbsp butter
Β½ cup warm milk or cream
Salt, to taste

Mashed Potatoes
- Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (15β20 min).
- Drain, add butter and warm milk.
- Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt.
Ground Beef & Gravy
- Heat butter/oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion and cook until soft (3β4 min).
- Add garlic, then ground beef. Cook until browned.
- Sprinkle flour over beef, stir well, and cook 1 minute.
- Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer 5β7 minutes until thick and rich.
π½οΈ To Serve
Spoon the mashed potatoes onto a plate and smother generously with the beef and gravy.
Optional: sprinkle with parsley or cracked peppe
