🍟🧀 French Fry Casserole Bake 🥩✨
Crispy fries layered with seasoned beef, creamy mushroom soup, and melted cheddar cheese—pure comfort food!
Ingredients:
32 oz frozen crinkle-cut French fries (about 8 cups)
¾ tsp kosher salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Beef Layer:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 tbsp oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce:
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk or cooking cream
1 tsp mustard (optional)
Cheese:
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Optional: ½ cup mozzarella for extra melt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Spread the frozen fries in a baking dish. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Bake for 20 minutes until slightly crispy.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion until soft, add garlic, then ground beef.
Season with salt and pepper and cook until fully browned.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk (or cream), and mustard. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Remove fries from the oven and spread the beef mixture evenly on top.
Sprinkle generously with cheese.
Return to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
