Grinch Cookies
Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Green food coloring
  • Red and green candy melts or colored sugar for decoration

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Add several drops of green food coloring to the dough, mixing until the desired Grinch green color is achieved.
  7. Stir in the white chocolate chips.
  8. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  10. Remove from oven and immediately press red and green candy melts or sprinkle colored sugar on top to decorate.
  11. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips:
Use gel food coloring for a more vibrant green without altering dough consistency.
