Grinch Cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- Green food coloring
- Red and green candy melts or colored sugar for decoration
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mix well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Add several drops of green food coloring to the dough, mixing until the desired Grinch green color is achieved.
- Stir in the white chocolate chips.
- Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and immediately press red and green candy melts or sprinkle colored sugar on top to decorate.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
