Whiskey Glazed BBQ Meatloaf with Bacon Weave
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup whiskey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices bacon
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, BBQ sauce, whiskey, egg, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it on a baking sheet lined with foil. Weave the bacon slices over the top of the meatloaf, tucking the ends underneath. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the meatloaf is cooked through. In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce with 1/4 cup of whiskey. Cook over medium heat until the mixture has thickened slightly, about 5 minutes. Brush the whiskey glazed BBQ sauce over the cooked meatloaf.
